不過讓人好奇的是，道奇隊王牌左投Clayton Kershaw(柯蕭)何時可以再上場？
目前看來總教練Dave Roberts會把他排在第2戰先發，他說：「我現在所知道的就是把(前田)健太放在首戰。」
Kershaw昨天在國聯分區系列賽，投110球休息一天的狀況下，硬是在9局下1人出局有失分危機狀況下強行後援，也幫道奇隊打進國聯冠軍戰。
前田健太上一場季後賽先發面對國民，僅投3局，被打5支安打失4分吞敗，這次是他第二度在季後賽先發。
前田表示：「第一場比賽很重要，總而言之，就是希望能有好成績。」
有趣的是，前田健太不季賽從未對戰過小熊隊，但生涯首次要面對小熊，就是在季後賽。
